Hervey Bay Historical Village & Museum
Featuring 8,000 historical exhibits and 19 buildings, Hervey Bay Historical Village & Museum offers an educational glimpse into the region’s past with interactive displays of numerous items, such as tools used on the farms, clothes worn during the early settlement period, and wagons the pioneers drove when they first arrived. Take a tour through Hervey Bay’s history with a stop at one of many blacksmith and woodcraft demonstrations, and see skilled artisans create a variety of wooden objects, such as miniature horseshoes and tiny goblets. Also included at this village-museum is a model of the landmark Uragan Pier, built in 1917, the same year the original pier was constructed.
