Homme Museum
The Musée de l'Homme is an anthropology museum in Paris, France. It was established in 1937 by Paul Rivet for the 1937 Exposition Internationale des Arts et Techniques dans la Vie Moderne. It is the descendant of the Musée d'Ethnographie du Trocadéro, founded in 1878.
The Musée de l'Homme presents the evolution of Man and societies, by crossing biological, social and cultural approaches according to the thought of Paul Rivet: "humanity is an indivisible whole, not only in space, but also in time ”. Located in the Passy wing of the Palais de Chaillot (Paris 16th) in a building built for the 1937 World Fair, it reopened in October 2015 after more than 5 years of closure, reaffirming the concept of a museum -laboratory wanted by its founder.
