The Finnish Museum of Photography
The Finnish Museum of Photography, located on the territory of the former cable factory corporation «Nokia» in the Finnish capital, Helsinki, was opened in 1969. The task of the museum considers the development, promotion and study of Finnish photographic art. In the exhibition halls of the museum, covering an area of 800 square meters, presents the works of Finnish photographers, and artists from around the world. Collection of the Finnish Museum of Photography is 3.7 million images of different areas of culture and photography, since the 1840s and to the present day. "New Finland" among them 2.5 million negatives donated to the museum is now not to publish a newspaper.
