Kitamaebune Ship Museum
The Kitamebune Ship Museum commemorates the history of the kitamabun, a wooden ship that traded along the coast of the Sea of Japan from the Edo period (1603-1867) to the turn of the twentieth century. The museum is located in the grand house of a wealthy owner of a kitamabun, built in 1876.
