Chawkandi Gallery

Chawkandi art is Pakistan’s most established and prestigious art gallery. It opened in 1985 with a vision of showcasing works of masters, celebrated senior artists and burgeoning young talent. It initiated the promotion of art in an unprecedented manner and soon became the leading center of art in Pakistan. 
The gallery exclusively represented the works of Zahoor ul Aklaq and Shahid Sajjad. The former being the most influential artist of our time who pioneered the configuration of miniature traditions with indigenous art and initiated a dialogue between contemporary and traditional art. Chawkandi art continues to be a reliable dealer of authentic works of masters such as Chughtai, Sadequain Ahmed Pervaiz, Bashir Mirza, Colin David, and Ismail Gulgee.
