The Kochenyovo Museum of Local Lore

One of the main centers of cultural life of the district is the regional museum of local lore. Currently there are four halls in the museum. The expositions of the historical hall tells about the geographical location, nature and settlement of the area, the origin and formation of public education, health, culture, pharmacy, department of internal affairs, sports achievements, about the collective farm and state farm agricultural production in the area. The museum keeps material about the best workers of production, Heroes of Socialist Labor, machine operators, livestock breeders, honored and respected people of the district. The exhibitional hall presented permanent expositions telling about the participation of Kochenyovo inhabitants in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
