The Gafuriysky District Museum of Local Lore

The first hall is devoted to natural history, it contains minerals, fossils, sporifirites, coral, etc. The second hall is dedicated to the history of the Gafuriysky district, it has several expositions. The exposition "Nothing is forgotten, no one is forgotten", presenting the information abou five Heroes of the Soviet Union of the Gafuriysky district, and clippings of newspapers published during the Great Patriotic War. The exhibition "Glass Factory", which is dedicated to Krasnousolsk glass factory and its employees. There you can learn the history of the glass factory, the very first method of making glass. There are also glass items made in the factory. Exposition "Bogoyavlensk partisans." This exposition is devoted to the October Revolution in 1917. There is information about the commander of the Bogoyavlensk regiment Kalmykov V.. You can see the map of Bashkiria in the period of the revolution. The most interesting exhibits are weapons, shells, bayonet knives left over from the revolution. The exposition "The distant past of our land" tells about the location of Kara-Abazins, and about the objects of their culture. Rare books, numsmatics, a certificate of recognition are also presented.
