Tipu Sultan Museum
The Sultan Type Museum is an archeological museum established in Srirangapatna in 1959. It was built in memory of the Sultan Type and has a wide collection of historical objects and personal belongings of the Sultan Type. The museum is located within the summer palace of Tip Sultan Daria Daulat Bag.It contains sketches of the Sultan Type, Haider Ali, Srirangapatna Fort and the city of Bangalore during the Sultan Type. The interior walls of the museum have exquisite designs and floral motifs, as well as frescoes on the exterior walls. There are also maps of the fortresses of Tipu Sultan and his dominions, medals awarded to Tipu, and coins used during the reign of Haider Ali and Tipu.
