The Local Lore Museum of Melenkovsky District

The Museum exhibits archaeological finds, household items, photographs, personal items, through which make it possible to trace the history of Melenkovsky region from the VIII century until nowadays. The exposition "The Persons of Melenkovsky District" is dedicated to outstanding people who influenced the development of the town and district throughout its history. One of the show cases depicts the activities of Count Vorontsov R.I., thanks to him the village Melenki was designated as a town.
