Museum of the State Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic
The museum consists of four theme halls. In the common room you can get acquainted with the geological service of Kyrgyzstan's history, beginning with the 1938 time of the formation of the Geological Department. In the first room arranged exhibits (about 1000 mod.) Ore, non-metallic combustible minerals: iron Dzhetima ore, copper ore Kuru Tegerek, lead-zinc ore Sumsar, Kana Aktyuz, Boordu etc .; tin-tungsten ore Sarydzhaz, antimony ore Kadamjay, Tereks, mercury ore Khaidarkan Chauvaya, Symapa, precious metal ores Kumtor Jeruy, Taldybulak-Leveberezhnogo, Makmal et al. In the second hall demonstrates 1650 stone specimens. These are mainly samples from the entire territory of the Republic and neighboring countries. The samples are arranged in groups existing mineralogical classification.
