The museum presents works of folk art and traditional arts and crafts of the Nizhny Novgorod region of the XVII - early XXI centuries. Architectural and household carving, art painting on wood: Khokhloma, Gorodetsky and polkhov-Maydanskaya; artistic metalworking: forged products, Purekh bells, Vyksa cast iron, Pavlov knives and locks, Kazakov filigree; textiles: heel, embroidery, weaving, lace, traditional costume; folk toys, home-made furniture, etc.
