Rafael Nunez House Museum
The Rafael Núñez Museum is in charge of preserving and disseminating the historical legacy of the thought of the former Colombian president, and seeks to promote permanent dialogue with his public through the generation of collective memory, as well as the sense of identity and belonging to the heritage of the region. .
Rafael Núñez, an illustrious man from Cartagena, lived and died at the museum's headquarters and served as president four times. From this place arose the fundamental ideas that generated one of the greatest political reforms of the country in the 19th century: the Constitution of 1886. It directed the course of Colombia until 1991, the year in which the current Magna Carta was written.
